Remember the Cottonwood?

181 years of Texas ~ Did you know…? The Spanish stationed a cavalry unit in Sn Antonio in the early 1800s. Alamo is the Spanish word for “cottonwood,” and cavalry soldiers adopted the nickname in homage to their hometown: Alamo de Parras, Coahuila.
