Retro Saturday

Greek Mythology studying–my room, my house, my legs.

Remembering a great young man: pictured on the right is Martin V. From kindergarten to graduation, Martin never missed a day of school. Perfect attendance for 13 years. It hasn’t been accomplished since in my home town because my class created a scholarship in Martin’s name and had to amend the parameters to be perfect attendance in high school in order to bestow it. Tragically, Martin died in a car accident a month after graduation. He wasn’t distracted by cell phones, impaired by drinking or drugs, or even a girlfriend. It was a single car accident.

Martin was a friend to everyone and left a hole in many hearts. I’ll always cherish the friend he was in life.
