The state flower of Texas appears along most of the roads and highways throughout the Hill Country. It’s one of the main reasons to just take a drive through the countryside and enjoy the day. All types of wildflowers are actually seeded…and if the rain is plentiful (like in 2010), then the Bluebonnets are absolutely out of this world. Today is the official launch day of my first Harlequin Intrigue, Hill Country Holdup, and there’s not one mention of a Bluebonnet in the book. LOL But, yes, it does take place in the Hill Country of Texas.
The picture today was taken this past spring near Austin by my youngest daughter. Even on a cloudy day a field of wildflowers just begs for its picture to be taken. And shared.
And here we come to the point of my brand new blog… A Picture A Day… will be sharing pictures and how they inspire. Some of my guests will be authors, some pre-published, and some days it will just be me. I hope you’ll share how you’re inspired: either by the photo I offer or your own.
Welcome…

I said previous blog… Must be the late night… I meant previous website. Time for bed.
Congrats on the release day, and I should have my copy soon. Thanks for the picture, the bluebonnet has always been one of my favorites. My mom would take my kids every year to a big patch for pics when they were little. Good memories!
So do all grandmothers take the kids to a field for the best and most remembered pictures? >>very big grin<< 'Cause my mom sure took lots of pictures of my fields in wildflower fields.
Thanks for stopping by, Linda. And thanks for the congrats. It's too exciting for words.
